Last Thursday January 22nd we were invited to dinner at the home of our friends Terry and Bruce. It was so nice that my cousin Pati and her husband Stuart were in town and that their visit was the impetus for a great reunion among childhood friends. Terry asked that we meet at their home by 4:30 so that we could all enjoy the sunset hour together. We decided to drive south to Dana Point early and explore the marina area before heading to Terry and Bruce's.
We took this sign to literally mean we were headed in the right direction.
It was a bit overcast when we arrived at the marina, but as we walked around the sun came out.
We hiked up a hill and got a nice view of the bay.
As time was drawing closer for the sunset hour, we headed to Bruce and Terry's home. We were greeted by our hosts and were able to take in a beautiful, sweeping view of the blue Pacific from their patio.Simply amazing sunset colors surprised us by the minute.

Time to for Bruce to BBQ
The evening sunset was made even more beautiful by the merriment of many, shared nostalgic memories among old friends. Thanks so much to Terry and Bruce for such a warm and wonderful evening in their lovely home by the blue Pacific ocean.
It seems that the occasion of my birthday comes more quickly with each passing year. The fact is, for me, the days and months which make up a year seem to whiz by ever so fast the older I get. One very pleasant way for me to mark the passage of these years is to look back on photographs of birthday dinners given to me by my dearest friend Mary and her husband David. This year again I enjoyed the loveliest evening with family and friends at their home. Here are some photos which I can add to my collection of birthday celebrations. These were taken last Saturday evening, January 24, 2015.
The table setting is always lovely

Delicious food abounds
Mmmm a delicious beautiful cake and so many lovely gifts. My sister used this perfect authentic vintage op art wrapping paper from the 1960's that my mother had stored away. Fabulous memory from the past.
It was another lovely birthday celebration. Thanks so much for a wonderful night Mary and David!
I believe in love and kindness, family first, deep meaningful friendships, counting one's blessings and giving to others what you yourself need. I strive to see life as a glass half full. I am very grateful for the life I have and all the wonderful people that make this grand adventure so worthwhile.
