We
had fun today at the neighborhood annual Greek festival. Great food and
music and dancing. A wonderful time to appreciate some Greek culture.
Also a fun reunion with our dear friend Rosie. And yes we bought the wonderful and most famous Greek sweet delicacy
loukoumades. Famously made for the winners of the first Greek Olympics
in 776 bc .
I was face timing Sofia and she was showing me her la bubu collection or la fufu. I don’t know if she knows the difference. Then she said gramma I was thinking that I could come out and stay with you next May when school ends. I could fly out ahead of my family before we all go Italy. I said wow that’s great I could plan a lot of fun things for us to do. Then a little while later I was speaking to her mom and she said “that’s not something that we’ve really discussed Sofia.” Sofia was in the background and said “but mom, I’m a Woman now!” This from a 10 Year old. “
We had a great birthday party/steak-a-thon bbq at my brother Randy's house yesterday. Our annual celebration of birthdays for Vicente , Randy, David and Mike’s birthdays.
So much food,
sweet tea with bourbon (my nephew was channeling his recent trip to Tennessee with these drinks), party hats, laughter and gifts!
(My brother even got a Dodgers La BuBu.) A wonderful family get together.
