"You are the butter to my bread, the breath to my life." -from the movie "Julie & Julia", a toast to Julia Child from her husband Paul during a Valentine's dinner.
Oh my - Did you see that movie? It was such a wonderfully tender and at the same time, comical portrait, of two very similar woman finding their identity and the men who supported them. Can you tell I loved it? menehune
is it not the 'breath' to my life??? perhaps i mis-heard...i came home after seeing the movie to cook from my Julia child but could not find my Mastering the Art of French Cooking and then remembering i loaned it to a friend a few years ago...
What did you eat after the movie? I had to stop and buy crusty bread and half and half to make a white sauce with lots of BUTTER! Didn't that movie make you hungry for good fresh food?
