and chosen,
and the more select,
the more they are enjoyable!" -Louisa May Alcott
July 13, 2017, Our book club met for breakfast at the restaurant Schooner or Later at the Los Alamitos Marina.
We discussed our most recent book selection "The Last Breath" by Kimberly Belle.
There was a mixed opinion on whether we would give it a thumbs up or down. We had a lot of guesses as to who had committed the murder. And a lively discussion centered around the cast of characters in this "who done it" mystery novel. It had also been suggested that we try to watch the Carl Reiner HBO documentary on ageing called , "If You're Not In The Obit, Eat Breakfast". There was an overwhelmingly unanimous thumbs up on this program. We all felt very positive about this viewing and felt it touched on many positives about how we can make our lives better, healthier and hopefully add to our longevity.
Lynda had organized a list of possible books to read for the 2018 meetings for our club. We all voted for our top six choices.
More lively book talk
