I had a mild scare on my morning walk. I turned a corner and I could see a big grey dog in the distance he was running full speed in my direction. At first because of his size and color I thought it was a coyote. We have seen them on occasion in our neighborhood. The dog was getting closer and really coming straight at me. I moved a few steps to the grassy lawn and nearly fell over a sprinkler head as he charged passed me. A car had seen the dog running toward me and it stopped and blared the horn loudly. The woman rolled down her window and said are you okay and I said yes. She said I was worried when I saw that dog running toward you and wanted to scare it. As she drove away I couldn’t help but think how kind she was to stop and help me. I turned the next corner and went home thankful that the dog ran past me and that I didn’t fall over that sprinkler!
