I read this: "Years from now, when you are asked: "What were you doing when they tried to erase our history and they came to kidnap immigrants?'
You will tell your grandchildren and your children's children that we came together, we stood up, we spoke out, and we fought for justice for everyone."
Folks in the LA area, please come to Little Tokyo on August 23 to speak up against any attempts to erase not only JA history, but the histories of other people of color, too.
The event is both a press conference and a community gathering in JANM Plaza at 10 am on Saturday, August 23.
Don't let them erase our history!
Don't let them disappear people!
Supporting organizations: National Parks Conservation Association, Go For Broke NEC, Japanese American Citizens League, Japanese American National Museum, Little Tokyo Historical Society, Little Tokyo Service Center, Manzanar Committee, Nikkei for Civil Rights & Redress, Nikkei Progressives and Tuna Canyon Detention Center.
