Beach City Deli BBQ

I was out shopping in the neighborhood and wanted to get a sandwich. I remembered a place I had heard of called “ Beach City Deli BBQ” located at the mini mall on the corner of Atherton and Clark. I was greeted by the owner Bryan who was super nice. I told him this was my first time there so he said “Let me go over the menu”. They have a big variety of hot and cold sandwiches and all their meats (lamb, beef, pastrami, corned beef) are roasted/smoked in house. I was torn between the lamb and corned beef. I said it’s hard to find lamb sandwiches and he agreed saying probably the closest place would be Philippe’s downtown! That sold me! I chose the 12” lamb sandwich with a horseradish mayo (you can choose the accompaniment you want). It was big enough for me to save half for my husband later. They have a variety of sides you can purchase. The pasta salad I had was great. It also came with a small container of au jus for dipping. I met the co owner Carolena (Bryan’s wife). She’s been with the original Beach City in San Pedro. I believe they’ve been in this location for several years. It’s a family run business and I also met one of their treasured assistants Teresa. This is a great neighborhood business. If you’re in the market for a delicious sandwich try Beach City. I’ll definitely go back there soon to try the corned beef. Ps they also have a party size menu. See photos . Two thumbs up!
