Being a retired preschool teacher children’s songs often pop into my head. When I was with my grandson 2 1/2 year old Julian he was appreciative that I knew the songs he sings in school. Because these past days I have had so many dr and dentist visits (tomorrow we have our bi annual ophthalmologist check up) I woke up to this song in my brain:”Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes, knees and toes (repeat that three times pointing to appropriate body parts), eyes, and ears and mouth and nose , (repeat first lines with gestures). Now you’ve done your morning exercises! This is my life. I can’t get this song out of my mind. Tomorrow I’ll be singing “5 little monkeys jumping on the bed!” I really amuse Julian when I gesture/sing that one. He says “You’re silly gramma!”
