Our guests for Valentine’s dinner were my late cousin Nancy’s daughters Mariko and Miyoshi. We were so happy they could join us. Miyoshi (my grandma Jingu’s namesake) lives in the Bay Area so we don’t get to see her often. For this day recognizing Love I rearranged the entry table to feature a small candle and rock sculpture Sofia had made me and a handmade blue box with a soft embroidered pink heart that Nancy had made me long ago. The girls and I agreed we all @felt Nancy’s presence on this day of love. We were trying to figure out how we could take a selfie when Mike said “I know we”ll use the little green man!” The girls laughed as we produced the mystery man. He worked his magic and we captured the moment! Valentine’s 2026!
