My Trip to Madison May 28-June 7, 2016

  In late May I took a short trip to Madison, Wisconsin to visit Aria, Daniele and Sofia and especially to be there with them to celebrate  Sofia's first birthday.
In the next few days I will post some recaps of that time this past Spring.

 On the second day before our boat ride the kids took me out to breakfast.

It's so great to be with these three again.

A Night at Mama Lu's Dumpling House

There are endless asian restaurants in Monterey park. One night in May my family and I decided to try a new place called Mama Lu's. 

Though they are known for their dumplings they have a big variety on their menu. The surroundings are simple, the lines to enter can be long but the service is efficient and swift.  We were seated fairly quickly. The food was really delicious.

We had a great time and are anxious to return to try more dishes.

A Sunday in Dana Point

We drove south on the 405 freeway yesterday the last day of July.  There was very little traffic at 7:00 a.m.  Our destination was Dana Point.  We arrived within the hour and it was cool with clouds overhead. The past week has been so hot that this was a pleasant change.

We started with a long walk by the beach. There were many surfers in the water.

There were lots of people walking their dogs and this little boy was up early fishing.  He was so friendly and enthusiastic about catching a fish.  We wished him luck.

We stopped for a morning coffee and a bagel breakfast. 

 My husband tolerates yet another picture.  He said, "You're photographing bagels? "

By the time we finished eating the sun had come out...

We continued to explore the Marina and beach areas of Dana Point

It was a beautiful day and a great time exploring the  beautiful Dana Point Marina area.
