My friend Tracy had a great idea during this July heat wave. She said, "How about a movie matinee?" I jumped on that one with a very enthusiastic "YES!"
First we went to lunch and had a fun time catching up on grandchildren and our trips.
Going to a movie was a great escape from the heat. We saw "Paris Can Wait!" We both love Diane Lane.
Then I took Tracy to "Doc's Pie shop". My second time in one week.
She had a delicious boysenberry pie.
I could not resist ordering another slice of Key Lime pie. I wonder how I'll ever break this habit and try the other yummy pies.
Thanks Tracy for suggesting such a fun way to beat the heat.
I believe in love and kindness, family first, deep meaningful friendships, counting one's blessings and giving to others what you yourself need. I strive to see life as a glass half full. I am very grateful for the life I have and all the wonderful people that make this grand adventure so worthwhile.
