Sunday December 3, 2017 in Sacramento, California

On our last day of our brief visit to  Sacramento we started with a leisure breakfast at our hotel near the airport.

My brother Randy, and his wife Barb, my sister Jocelyn and her husband Vicente and I traveled to visit our relatives the day prior.

It was fun spending some time together all through that weekend.

We started the day by exploring Old Town Sacramento and the wonderful Railroad Museum

Fun to explore the old train dining car

and sleeper cars

A big toy train display upstairs too

After exploring the train museum we walked through Old Town to the Crocker Art Museum in downtown Sacramento. About a 10 minute walk on a beautiful December afternoon.

We saw a wonderful retrospective exhibit of the ceramics of Ruth Rippon. Her work is beautiful and varied through the stages of her artistic career.

Title: Sofia , Stoneware collection of the artist
Ruth Rippon, American, born Sacramento, 1927

We also saw a wonderful Richard Diebenkorn exhibit which I will blog about tomorrow.
