Not Just About A Book Club May 10, 2018

Our book club read Lisa See's novel "Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane". 

We had a delightful luncheon hosted by our member Donna.

 She welcomed us to her lovely home on a warm, sunny Spring morning.

 It's always fun for us to be together.  

 Donna had worked so hard to make everything perfect for our book club luncheon

 She created a delicious themed Chinese menu

 After lunch we began a discussion of the Pu'erh tea which was featured in the book. 

Several book club members brought variations of the tea to share.

 A lovely sample of this tea gifted to each member from Sharon.


 Barb gave a small demonstration of how to prepare Pu-erh tea by cleansing the first pour and then steeping the tea.

 We sampled the tea and ate delicate tea desserts

We gave a unanimous thumbs up for the book. We all loved it!
A lively and interesting discussion followed.

Lynda brought a beautiful Miss Priss cake to celebrate our hostesses upcoming birthday.

 We all wish our hostess with the mostest a very happy and healthy year ahead!
