Day 2 we slept well. We walked a quick 5 min. Walk to Thirroul beach to watch Mat surf.
Then home to get our bathing suits.
Drove just 10 minutes to Austinmer beach to get some drinks and scones at the newly refurbished Imperial hotel.

Then off to swim at the ocean pools in Austinmer the city where they live.
It was lovely and quiet and non touristy. Jude’s elementary school that he will go to in a few years is just across the street from the beach. It’s really beautiful here. The ocean pools are incredibly beautiful. Free dressing rooms and clean bathrooms and showers available. Parking is free.
Such a cute town.
Home now for a nap while Athena has a zoom work call. It’s a lovely view from their veranda.
