Anniversary Beach Day

On the way to the beach this morning we got a call from Sofia wishing us a Happy Anniversary. I thanked her for the flowers and the card and the berry crumble dessert she and her parents ordered for us. When I said we were almost at the beach she asked me “Gramma when I come to California can you take me to the beach? I really wish I could be with you.” I couldn’t speak right away. Suddenly I wanted to cry. My words were all inside me getting choked up. Luckily Mike said “of course we’ll take you! That will be so much fun.” Sofia was happy with that and said. “I will love that!” Yes Sofia and Gramma and Grandpa will love that too!
