Christmas Potluck with the Italian Classmates

My wonderful Italian group Professoressa Luisa,  Isa, Marion, Mitra met for a potluck luncheon hosted at the home of Judy.  We ate great antipasti, two kinds of ravioli, italian style peppers and potatoes, green salad and an apple cake. We drank prosecco and wine and toasted "Buon Natale" and spoke Italian all day long. A feast to our souls as well as our tummies. We each brought a gift which was numbered and we rolled the dice to see which number gift we received. Gifts ranged from vino, olive oil, hand painted glass coasters, aperol, specialty cheeses and more. I forgot to take pictures. We brought lottery scratch offs and played "left right center." Luisa and Judy were the winners. The time flew and we didn't have time to play Mexican train. It was a wonderful afternoon of fun with lovely friends. Our friendships began more than 10 years ago and was founded on our mutual love of Italy and the Italian language. Little did we know way back then how deep these friendships would be rooted.
