Claremont Monday: A Hike and A Dig For Treasures

 The kids had breakfast at the hotel. We met them in the patio before Aria left for her work day at the college with Marino.

 

Mike, Daniele and I  took the kids to a nearby hiking trail (Thompson Creek trail)by the Claremont college campus. People said it was an easy scenic trail with a children’s playground on the way. 

 

 

My friend  Tracy had recommended looking at several inexpensive activities at the Dollar tree store. I bought a Diamond Dig set and a sand molding kit (under $2.00) for Rocco and Sofia. We did the Diamond dig at a picnic table and it was a great activity. Also did the sand molding poolside. Both kids enjoyed these immensely. Sand molding not messy at all. After they did the diamond dig and retrieved their jewels they spent a long time digging up a metal piece they found buried on the trail. They were really captivated. Good buys for your Valentine treats in you have little ones.

 

We went swimming again at the pool.

 Ate In and Out Burgers and fries.

 then cake to Celebrate Aria's birthday!
