I subscribe to this mantra, also. Two years ago we downsized and I was like a mad woman with a mission. I gave away much of our stuff and kept only what was useful or had sentimental value and brought me joy. It was very liberating.
Maria I admire you for your downsizing. It is liberating but just hard to get there. I am trying. I love the idea behind these words...quite freeing as yousay.
I believe in love and kindness, family first, deep meaningful friendships, counting one's blessings and giving to others what you yourself need. I strive to see life as a glass half full. I am very grateful for the life I have and all the wonderful people that make this grand adventure so worthwhile.

Amen to that - only when you have kids, their stuff seems to ebb and flow like the tide through my house:-) Have a clutter-free day, menehune

Now that's a very interesting challenge!

I look forward to the day I can downsize... for now I am trying to live by those words.
I always leave here with a smile in my heart.
This is what I am doing this week:)
I just did that this morning in my bathroom! Yes, even my bathroom is cluttered, because it has shelves...
