Last Thursday January 22nd we were invited to dinner at the home of our friends Terry and Bruce. It was so nice that my cousin Pati and her husband Stuart were in town and that their visit was the impetus for a great reunion among childhood friends. Terry asked that we meet at their home by 4:30 so that we could all enjoy the sunset hour together. We decided to drive south to Dana Point early and explore the marina area before heading to Terry and Bruce's.
We took this sign to literally mean we were headed in the right direction.
It was a bit overcast when we arrived at the marina, but as we walked around the sun came out.
As time was drawing closer for the sunset hour, we headed to Bruce and Terry's home. We were greeted by our hosts and were able to take in a beautiful, sweeping view of the blue Pacific from their patio.Simply amazing sunset colors surprised us by the minute.

Bruce points out Catalina island in the distance. What a grand view from the upstairs family room.
Time to for Bruce to BBQ
The evening sunset was made even more beautiful by the merriment of many, shared nostalgic memories among old friends. Thanks so much to Terry and Bruce for such a warm and wonderful evening in their lovely home by the blue Pacific ocean.
