More Adventures Riding the Metro Blue Line

Mike and I recently decided to ride the Metro to downtown Los Angeles. We have often done this and with no clear cut destination in mind we spent the day exploring various sites.
Started at the Willow station in Long Beach around 9:00 a.m.

Transferred the blue line to the red line to Union station
From Union station we transferred for a short hop to Chinatown for a Dim Sum Lunch

Dim Sum at the Golden Dragon Restaurant 960 N. Broadway.

from Chinatown we boarded the Metro yellow line to ride to Azusa (the second to the last stop was downtown Azusa).

Not much to explore there so we bought an icy drink to cool off on this hot Autumn day.

We leisurely made our way back to the metro stop and boarded the yellow line to take us back to downtown L.A.

Passing through Union station for a bathroom stop and then reboarding the yellow line for Little Tokyo.

Passed the Japanese American National  Museum (100 N. Central Avenue) and walked through historic Little Tokyo.

A nice stop to look at Bento lunch plates at the local grocery store Nijiya Market 124 Japanese Village Plaza Mall

And of course you must have a donut and coffee at Cafe Dulce 134 Japanese Village Plaza Mall

We made a special stop at "Japangeles" (141 Japanese Village Plaza Mall)  to try to visit with my nephew Kevin but he wasn't in today.

Well our adventure took us to lots of wonderful sights.  We boarded the train and headed for home around 5:00 P.M. A full day riding the rails of Los Angeles.
