Rocco Imperiale

Staying at our apartment at Rocco Imperiale in Calabria. So steep just under the rock castle about and hour away from Matera in Basilicata. We were using the gps to find apartment in this tiny town just below the castle. It led us to a very small narrow street which kept getting narrower and narrower. The question from Daniele: "Should we keep going!" Answer from everyone, "No!". So scary and then as we carefully backed out Daniele asked a local man at the passageway if straight ahead led to a street. He said he watches cars get stuck between the walls everyday! Thankfully we weren't one of them!

This isn't us but could have been had we continued just a little tiny bit further! Phew dodged  this. P.S. Daniele is an amazing driver, he stayed calm through crazy situations.
