During the day we headed southward to explore some other areas. We did a hike to Ho'opi'li Falls. This one was tricky to find.
We had to park on a residential street and there were no markings for the trail. If you are looking for Ho'opi'i Falls look for this mail box on Kapahi Rd. and turn down the path in front of it. No signs.
The mailbox is across the street from this house.
We explored several beaches Athena had mapped out. They were Lydgate Beach park
i'm just noticing that the tree in the background looks like a big dinosaur...
Donkey Beach
Park above near highway and walk down a long shaded path
Then you have to hike down further which I didn't do but the kids and Mike did.
Moloo'a Beach.
After a day of exploring the beaches we went home to get ready for a nice dinner. Athena and Mat were taking me out for a belated birthday celebration. Lucky for us a new restaurant "Piazza" had just opened two weeks prior.
First a stop off at Todd and Michelle Rundgren's "Tiki Iniki" bar
I was happy I was able to talk with and meet Michelle, owner of Tiki Iniki.
We started with a Roman Holiday!
