"Every city has a sex and an age which have nothing to do with demography... Paris, I believe, is a man in his twenties in love with an older woman."

Barb, what a great post. I love the idea of city's having secret identities! The photos are beautiful too.

Barb, you have the greatest pictures! Where do you find them all--or are they yours? :-)

Jane regarding the photos I have since my teens been a collector of photos, postcards anything that "got me". In collage I used to collage my bedroom wall with torn out magazine photos of fashion, design images much like the photos you see. A collection of things I loved to look at. Now days I just use the internet and have kept saving a file of photos I found that I liked. Unfortunately I did not always earmark where I got them (in most cases) and did not always notate who the source was. I hope I'm not crossing some lines about copyright. Now I use that file to help me blog which is a wonderful way for me to combine two past loves: scrapbooking and journaling. The positive for me is getting to share this collection with all of you.

Very cool post, Barb. And the photos are great too. I wonder what Rome would be?

Hmmm Candi, excellent question. The words "Hot and Sexy" come to mind. Fun to think about for all the great cities in the world.
