Sofia's already wearing her party hat and ready to welcome 2020. She
leaves for home tomorrow. Making the most of our time together. Looking
forward to a bright and happy new year.
Tonight my bff Mary and her husband David along with my sister Jocelyn and her husband Vicente and my brother Randy and his wife Barb hosted an early birthday party for me and for Aria.
They made a wonderful grand dinner complete with bbq ribs, tri tip,
chicken, mashed potatoes, bbq beans, mac and cheese, cole slaw and more.
They had a beautiful Paradise cake one of my faves from King's Hawaiian
bakery. As usual Jocelyn had us in stitches making us laugh so hard.
Thanks to all of my family for having an early bday celebration so that
we could celebrate with Aria, Daniele and Sofia.
Aria and Daniele are making their way back to Long Beach after their
brief overnighter in Solvang and Santa Barbara area. Sofia and her
grandparents are making the most of the time while the cats are away. We
went to the Dollar store to buy the New Years Eve party things. She's
now in the living room whooping it up. Just trying to see what works.
What happens in Long Beach stays here!
Grandpa and Sofia made waffles, she helped him garden and then she and
Gramma were mischievous. Her parents are on an overnight getaway and we
have Sofia all to ourselves! Yippee! She said "Gramma lets have a girls
night!"
I believe in love and kindness, family first, deep meaningful friendships, counting one's blessings and giving to others what you yourself need. I strive to see life as a glass half full. I am very grateful for the life I have and all the wonderful people that make this grand adventure so worthwhile.
