Happy Halloween 2023

Scary Spooky Halloween

So it looks like there’s a teenage vampire aka kitty cat by night and an alligator/aka “I don’t want to be a gorilla too scary” on the loose in Texas and a lil lion, baby Skeleton and a witch wandering down under.

I don't want to be a gorilla! Too Scary.

Mike was ready to pass out candy last night ! His whole team at work dressed as the “Incredibles”.

Sunday At The Canals

It was a beautiful warm Sunday. We haven’t walked the canals in Naples in awhile so that’s what we did. The rest of the day we packed for our upcoming trip and fine tuned our itinerary. Now we’re going to watch “The Burial” on Amazon prime. That’s about it.

Balloon Sculptures at the Broad

Artist Bio

"Jeff Koons emerged in the 1980s as an innovative sculptor of exquisitely crafted objects, which quickly became icons of art history, the primary example of which is Rabbit, 1986. Cast in highly polished stainless steel from an inflatable Easter bunny novelty, the sculpture’s mirror-like surfaces have the eerie effect of including the viewer in their cool reflections.

The Broad’s Koons collection is unrivaled globally and holds representative work from each stage of the artist’s diverse and ever-changing career. In its celebration of consumer goods and its questioning of the notion of “good taste,” Koons’s art has been critically received as an ironic comment on the decadence of the 1980s and of capitalist culture. Koons himself, however, posits a less cynical view, citing his relationship to his young son, transcendence, and the eternal resonance of beauty as motivating factors for his art."- https://www.thebroad.org/art/jeff-koons

Starry Night

I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.” “I know nothing with any certainty but the sight of the stars makes me dream.”
