The Teahouse of the August Moon 1956

Remembering my Grandma Miyoshi "Jingu"* who began her movie career in her mid 60's when she moved from Texas to California.  One of her famous roles was the old woman on top of the jeep in Teahouse of the August Moon. As children watching this movie in the darkness of a theater we all yelled out when she appeared on the big silver screen, "There's GRANDMA!"

"  Pain make man think. Thought make man wise. Wisdom make life endurable."  Sakini (played by Marlon Brando in Teahouse of the August Moon".
