Not Just About A Book Club Reads "The Language of Flowers"

Our book club met on Wednesday November 29th. This meeting was hosted by Judy.

She prepared a wonderful lunch for us.

To accompany the theme of our chosen book,  "The Language of Flowers" by Vanessa Diffenbaugh, Judy thoughtfully suggested we bring flowers of our choice with special meanings to share with all the group.

Flower messages abound

 Friendship,

 loyalty,

gratitude,

Jo brought "flower" coloring books for everyone.  Thank you Jo for such a thoughtful treat.

A thoughtful discussion on the book followed our lunch.

As we toasted all the wonderful friendships and our gratitude for our book club and its' members we also toasted to Kay who was celebrating her 48th wedding anniversary.

The "Language of Flowers",  focuses on the foster care system and how one person's life is affected by the lack of family support and love. It gave us great pause for thought on our own lives.  Our group enjoyed this book.

Afterwards we all adjourned to the backyard to make our individual bouquets of flowers from everyone's contribution.

Thank you so much Judy for hosting such a great book club meeting.
