Noodles and A Giant Robot

After the museum (see yesterday's post) my cousins and I headed to Sawtelle Blvd. in West Los Angeles to meet up with more family for lunch.

This is a very cute area filled with interesting restaurants and shops

Parking on a weekend is at a premium and there are lots of people waiting in line to eat.  Might as well spend your time in line studying the menu and working up an appetite. The noodles at Tsujita Artisan noodles are so-ooo good.

but just wait for the broth to dip your noodles in.  It's amazing!

Oh Yeahhhhh!

After lunch we took a walk down Sawtelle and reminisced about how we remembered this street long ago.  So much has changed.

Twelve year old Emma finds a perfect sign for her.  It says,

We are in search of the "Giant Robot"

 ...and here it is!
Lots of fun things to discover here.

 Everyone must have hats!
Family reunions are great and this day was no exception. Wonderful to spend time with cousins Tim, Suzanne, Lisa and Emma!

LACMA (Los Angeles Country Museum of Art) With My Cousins July 5, 2015

Sunday morning July 5th my cousin Nancy and I headed to   LACMA to meet up with our cousin  Suzanne and her husband Tim who were visiting from Ithaca, New York.

Love the museum in the early morning. It's so quiet.

Time for coffee and some sweets

Suzanne and Tim found their way to the museum via Korea Town and a cool BMW dealer ship (inside joke!)

                                   "Hey, we made it here!"

Then we wandered around and saw some cool stuff...

It was time for lunch so we headed for Sawtelle Blvd. the Japantown area of West L.A.  Our adventures there with "noodles and a Giant Robot"  continue on tomorrow's blog post.

A Quintuple date at "The Hot Red Bus"

I knew what a double date and triple date meant but I had to look up how to say a date with five couple. So Friday night we went on a "Quintuple" date! We met up at my brother's house as he said he had a new place in Alhambra for us to try.  It's called:  "The Hot RED Bus" (L.A.'s first Indian British Chip shop) and it features Kebab wraps, Fish and Chips and samosa rolls.  We had a great night.   A great find for authentic English Fish and Chips and other interesting dishes. Loved all the spicy dipping sauces.

Three couples plus two couples equal

A Quintuple fun date!

Meet Chris from Coventry (yes, he's actually a true Brit!).  He's all about great service.  He's so nice and epitomizes service with a smile.

Two thumbs up for "The Hot Red Bus". Or make that twenty thumbs up on a Quintuple night out.
