Walking At Los Alamitos Bay

We took a walk by the bay on Saturday morning  July 4th 2015. 

We were surprised to encounter a great car show by the local Yacht club. 

These are some of the cars we saw.  

 

 

Surreal

Friends: Salvador Dali (1904-1989), Gala (1894-1982)muse to Surrealist artists, Paul Eluard (1895-1952) French Poet, and Nusch(1906-1946) in 1931

Gala the first great love of Eluard. They were married in 1917.  She left in 1929 to be with  Salvador Dali after having been a time the mistress of Max Ernst.
Nusch was Eluard's   second wife that he had met in 1929 and married  in 1934.

BBQ Dinner at Uncle Renso's July 5, 2015

We were invited Sunday evening to a bbq dinner at my Uncle Renso's home.  It's always fun to be with my uncle and my cousins.

Uncle Renso made so much food. He bbq'd ribs

and brats

and rib eye steaks oh my!

At the end of the evening cousin Peggy brought out her fabulous fresh blueberry and strawberry refrigerator cake.  Mmmmm boy was it good!

What a great way to end a fun fourth of July weekend.
