A Girl's Night In - Some September Fun

Last Thursday I hosted a girl's night in, 
"End of summer" celebration.

 

I had everything set up for our mini cooking lesson.  The guests were going to prepare Vietnamese Spring rolls.

They all did a great job but we agreed Kathy rolled the neatest Spring roll on her first attempt.

Thanks to Jo for bringing delicious Mango  Jello shots

 and Kathy for her beautiful fruit offerings and Margarita mix.

 We gobbled up Lynda's won ton appetizers so quickly I never got a photo but thanks Lynda
   

 We had a fun time playing Mexican train

 

 We definitely needed our Sherif

 and our deputy

 Stakes were high. We all had our eyes on the prizes

 Another fun"Girl's Night In"!  

  Woohoo!

Not Just About A Book Club Reads "The Beach House"

Our book club met this past Wednesday September 6th.  The chosen book was "The Beach House" by Georgia Bockoven.

Our hostess for this meeting was Sharon 

 and she outdid herself creating a wonderful summer beach themed luncheon ...

 She thought of everything including 

salt water taffy

 and a bowl of "fish and chips"

  

 

It was such a lovely, relaxed day.

 Marsha, who suggested this book has started the whole series.
