I stayed up later than usual last night to finish “James” by Percival Everett. This is a wonderful read and I highly recommend it. It is written in the first person by the run away slave James (Jim) who was first introduced to readers in 1884 in the Mark Twain novel “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”. A very heartfelt and thoughtful look into the frightening flight of a runaway slave.
