Well
another SMU summer abroad program in the books for Aria and Daniele.
The program has officially ended for summer 2026. Yesterday Daniele and
Sofia climbed the Duomo with the students. In the evening Aria and
Sofia had a girls night out at the Opera and today their last day in
Florence the whole family climbed the Bell Tower’s 414 steps! Tomorrow
they pick up their rental car and head south to see Daniele’s family in
Basilicata followed by a vacation in Sicily. Their stamina and drive
amaze me. Safe travels to the Forlino’s as they venture forward. Bravo
also to the kids who have taken the travel challenges of change and the
Italian summer heat in stride. So proud of all of you!
