Weekend in Oakland

 

  I was so happy to spend time with my daughter Aria and two of my grandchildren Sofia and baby Michael this weekend in Oakland. We arrived at the airport on Saturday morning and they arrived from Dallas at nearly the same time. 

 

We took an uber to Jocelyn and Pati's airbnb

 

We explored the Piedmont shopping area and had pizza for lunch.

 

We checked into our airbnb at 3:00. Great location next to the restaurant we will all meet at on Sunday after Nancy's Celebration. Lots of great cafes, shops and restaurants on the Main Street. 

 

Saturday afternoon / evening we went back to Jocelyn and Pati's and sat and talked and ate Chinese take out. Sofia and Stuart watched parts of the films Godzilla and Barbie. 

 Mariko came over with lots of things for the Celebration for Nancy on sunday.  Joce, Pati, Aria and I are to meet at 10:00 at "The Wolf" restaurant to help set up.

 

On Sunday the gathering for Nancy was wonderful. I'll make a separate post for that.

 We took a leisure walk on Monday morning to have breakfast and browse the shops. 

1t 1:30 Monday we flew to Long Beach with Aria, Sofia and Michael and then they flew on to Dallas. 

 

 

 5 month old baby Michael is a very sweet go with the flow baby. So nice to have them share the weekend with us.
