I had a wonderful reunion today with a dear friend from my UCLA grad school days Yael and her husband Joe. They were in town visiting family. Years ago while she and I were busy working on our Master’s degree projects Yael’s husband (then boyfriend Joe) was in Boston getting his medical degree. Thus we were two young women solely dedicated to doing our art. We were inseparable! We kept each other focused on our academic goals, supported each other emotionally and became great companions and life long friends. Though we have kept in touch throughout the years we rarely have the chance to see each other in person. Today we reminisced about our youth, our crazy fun adventures and wonderful college days. Time does not diminish the importance of special friendships.
