On Friday October 30th we took a little field trip to Whittier California. We found some really great delights in this sleepy little town. First off was a stop at the Whittier Public Library to an exhibit of tole paintings. Our friend Marion's group was invited to show some of their work. We loved Marion's pieces which featured traditional holidays: Christmas, 4th of July and Halloween.

After spending some time in the library we were off to uptown Whittier for lunch. There we discovered a great shop called "Besame" located at:

Besame is a charming store created by founder Gabriela Hernandez. Her cosmetics and perfume are reminiscent of a bygone era of "glamour and elegance". She features vintage inspired luxury products with packaging which will make you feel like a Hollywood starlet. I will write more about this beautiful store in tomorrow's blog. Let's just say we were literally "over the Moon" with glee in "Besame".
After shopping at Besame we went to lunch right next door at "The Bottle Room " , a fun restaurant bar which features great craft beers and good food.
