The Venice Room

For years and years I've driven by "The Venice Room" restaurant on Garfield Blvd. wondering what kind of Italian restaurant it is.  The question was finally answered on October 4th when my brother Randy and his family took my husband and me to dinner there.

First of all it is not an Italian restaurant though the darkened dining room is filled with paintings of Italian scenes.

It is truly an oddity in interior decorating.  Against a backdrop of Italian paintings there were Halloween masks hung over the wall sconces. True it is October,  but I would have liked the paintings more without these masks!

Here at the Venice room the menu is straight forward.  You get a nice New York steak which you grill yourself, a baked potato and a roll and an all you can eat salad bar. All of this for $15.50.

A fun night out with the family and now I can say I've been to The Venice Room! Thank you to my brother Randy for dinner and then the snow cones which he served for dessert at his house with his new shaved ice machine.

Always a great time when spent with family!
