On Sunday November 8th we decided to go to the Discovery Cube Science Museum in Orange California.* We had never been there before.
We arrived just before the museum opened. The hours are 10 a.m. -5:00 p.m. daily
We decided to work backwards going to the top floor and view the space travel section.
Lots of wonderful exhibits and hands on activities for young people and adults as well.
Mike skating on an ice hockey simulator.
After exploring the museum for a couple of hours we had a nice lunch at a Korean BBQ restaurant in Buena Park.
After lunch we visited with Mike's sister and our grand nephew Rex. Mike worked on a fun science project with him. Together they created a volcano.
After Rex painted the volcano he added the baking powder
and the vinegar
then we waited for the volcano to erupt...
Success!
The end of a very nice adventure into the world of Science and beyond.
