On Sunday August 8th we took a trip to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. We like to go early, arriving around 9 a.m. The freeways on an early Sunday are smooth sailing and there is plenty of free parking on Wilshire boulevard a block from the museum area. The routine includes a coffee at Starbucks and then strolling through the garden areas by the museum. It is quiet. There are few people around except for those people holding their phones and searching for "Pokemon" a new game which takes people all around town searching for characters.
We spent some time enjoying the grounds at the La Brea Tar Pits located next to the museum.
At 10:00 it's time to start our museum visit. We walk past the beautiful Pavilion for Japanese Art
I found mine!
