LACMA on a Sunday in August

We enjoyed a leisure, lazy Sunday absorbing all the art we could at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art located on Wilshire Boulevard.
We started off in the Ahmanson Building housing Pacific Island, Greek, Islamic, and Modern Art  among other impressive collections. Every floor holding a variance of art history. The great thing about getting there early is that you feel you have the whole place to yourself.

Mike found this statue of Athena Greek Goddess of Wisdom, the Arts and Literature.

He enjoyed the Metropolis II amazing moving environment of small motorized cars traveling through  major city scapes by Chris Burden.

It was the last day for the Royal Hawaiian Featherwork display. I was happy to see this.

We have not yet seen the two James Turrell special exhibits but we hope to soon.
You need special reservations for these. Looks intriguing.

We fed our souls today on art.  It was very satisfying.
