Holidays in Kauai Day 2- Athena and Mat Arrive

Tuesday March 28
Woke up at sunrise.  Had coffee and fresh papaya on the lanai.  It's going to be a beautiful day.

 The surrounding grounds are beautiful. 

 We take a walk and explore the pathway to our local beach by the St. Regis hotel.

 It's so early there is no one on the beach but us and a  couple of surfers.

 I love this beach. Everything is so peaceful and quiet in the early morning hours. This is my view!

I stroll and walk to the end of the beach where I can view the pier of Hanalei bay and the town. 

 We have to leave the beach and head south to pick up the kids who are arriving at 11:15 in Lihue. 

And they are right on time.  Have surfboards will travel!

 Mat's first time to Hawaii and we are having so much fun showing him the sights.  Now the real adventure begins.

On our way passing  through all the little towns  going northward to Princeville.

 Finally home to Hanalei Villas

The owners of our condo call this their "Turtle House" and one can easily see why with their fun collection of turtles everywhere.

Time to toast with margaritas. Here's to a wonderful week together in Paradise.

 Off to swim at the beach by the St. Regis.

 After the swim we relax at home as Mike bbq's burgers on the lanai.  Then a walk across the street to see the sunset.

After the sunset we take a drive to the Princeville shopping area for ice cream and shaved ice.  The end of day two our first day with Mat and Athena.
