One particular photograph from the Ansel Adams 1940's L.A. Collection was particularly interesting to me. It is a bench on Angels Knoll overlooking the downtown area. His image has several well dressed men seated on the bench but you may recognize this as the bench from the movie "500 Days of Summer" in which Joseph Gordon Levitt and Zooey Deschanel are seated. This area became known as the 500 days of summer bench. On one of my many tours I posed Athena and Mat.  There and photographed them. Now this area is closed to the public in hopes of selling off this property, Angels knoll is situated directly next to Angels flight and looks down on to Grand Central market. A true bit of priceless downtown history.
