A Day at the Long Beach Aquarium

We had a really nice day today at the Long Beach Aquarium.

Annually Boeing gives it's employees a free pass to the aquarium for one day. We made reservations for today awhile back thinking it would not be crowded with a lot of people the week before Xmas. It opens at 9 so we planned to get there at 8:00 and do our morning walk.

It was cold but clear and after the rains all day yesterday today was beautiful and the sun was shining. Mike had to take two business conference calls for an hour so after we toured for an hour he left and I sat in the sunshine and enjoyed the view.

It was so peaceful. Then he returned and we walked some more and enjoyed the touch tanks and the lorikeet birds from Australia.

Masks were required and because we were so early we were the first patrons in and literally had the place to ourselves for the first hour. It was a wonderful treat to be at the aquarium with all the under the sea creatures. I especially love the jelly fish.
