Today is my son in law Daniele's Birthday. He is the youngest of 9 children. He grew up in a small hilltop town in southern Italy in the region called Basilicata. The whys and how’s of my daughter meeting and marrying this sweet and most kind gentle man, can only be attributed to destiny in my mind. Happy Birthday Daniele! May you always feel embraced by the best the world can give you. Today his older sister Rosanna wrote this. There is such a deep love between all of the 9 siblings. A rough translation follows. “
to you who are the smallest of the brothers, the ring that has closed the circle and that holds it firmly. Perhaps, for this task that fate has assigned you, you keep in touch with everyone without expecting anything in return. You who learned our life lessons, who imitated the older brothers, now teach us to have patience, to wait for the right moment to know how to forgive. In you we see the best of us .... you have the love for Nicola's family, Mimmo's sense of logic, Luciano's thrift, Michele's capable hands of everything, Gianfranco's intelligence, my passion for books, Vita's desire to grow, Marino's immense dedication to studying. You couldn't be better than you are.”
The family took a carriage ride to celebrate Papa's birthday and Sofia and her father went to the Van Gogh Interactive museum exhibit.
