Thursday we woke to a perfectly stunning day. Peggy and David drove us through the scenic countryside with views of the snow capped Tetons.
We drove along the Snake river to the beautiful “South Fork Lodge” in Swan Valley Idaho.
It’s a luxury getaway with A frame cabins and a gourmet restaurant on site overlooking the river.
The lodge and surrounding land is owned and being established by Jimmy Kimmel. It is a stunning area with a special attraction for fly fishing. Connected to this and located nearby is a fantastic fly fishing store called “SFLY”.
We had lunch down the road and played some horse shoes.
On the way back home we stopped at a wonderful local gourmet food shop called “Food Shed Idaho” . The owner was so knowledgeable and friendly. She has every kind of specialty items plus locally sourced cheese and home baked breads.
A great day of fun sightseeing
