9:00 pm just arrived home. What a crazy adventure we had
getting home. We headed toward Jackson Hole from Victor Idaho at 9:00
a.m. another gorgeous morning.
We followed my cousins Dave and Peggy
Nishio to Jackson Square for brunch at a great place called “The
Bistro”.
After eating we followed them to get gas for the rental car and
planned to spend the rest of the morning to around 2:00 at the outdoor
art Festival Air Plein at the National Wildlife Museum. Stefanie Nishio
(Peggy’s daughter) has been organizing and planning this special museum
event.
Nearly 50
invited artists are given one day to create new masterpieces en plein
air (outside). They paint from the National Museum of Wildlife Art’s
Sculpture Trail with stupendous views overlooking the National Elk
Refuge.
One small glitch: we locked the keys in
the car at the gas station. (Rav 4 2026 Toyota can lock you out even
with keys in the car!)
After some hectic phone calls to the rental
agency and then triple A we got the car unlocked and were on our way to
the painting festival. The event was great.
There was at the end a
silent auction for the paintings.
Around 2:00 we said our goodbyes and
dropped off the car at the airport close by.
Our flight wasn’t til4:30
so we had a lot of time to relax. There were a series of delays and we
finally were headed home at a couple hours later. Despite these minor
delays nothing could diminish the wonderful time spent with our family
in Wyoming and Idaho!
Home again jiggety jig! A big thanks to cousins Peggy and David. It was a wonderful to be with you in your corner of Paradise!
