The Walt Disney Concert Hall

For anyone that has visited downtown Los Angeles it would seem impossible not to take note of the very unusual building located at 111 South Grand known as the Walt Disney Concert hall. It is a stop on my list of places to see when I take out of town visitors on my L.A. Tours. If you are familiar with architect Frank Gehry's work you will immediately recognize this concert hall as one of his. Since I attended a lovely concert there last night I thought I'd share some exterior and interior photographs of this iconic building. The L.A. Philharmonic orchestra who makes its home there were in good form performing Mozart's piano concerto no. 22 and Beethoven's Symphony no. 1.  Dudamel was conducting. It was Esa-Pekka Salonen. A wonderful evening out.
