We went to bed last night not knowing if the kids would ever get on
their flight. When we woke up around 4:30 Mike said "did the kids
arrive?" I looked out the window and the front porch light that we had
left on for them was off! Unbelievable they made it! A few hours later
Sofia was up while her parents slept. Mike said to her what would you
like for breakfast? She said "pancakes." Sofia and I played while he
cooked. She ate Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes and then blew bubbles with
grandpa, who afterwards took Sofia to the park. These are the things of
grandparents dreams.
I believe in love and kindness, family first, deep meaningful friendships, counting one's blessings and giving to others what you yourself need. I strive to see life as a glass half full. I am very grateful for the life I have and all the wonderful people that make this grand adventure so worthwhile.
