Grandma Miyoshi and The Christmas Brooch Story

Woke up this morning posting about my grandma and The August moon and this memory pops up. Grandma loved going to church on Sunday's and she aways wore a hat and gloves and more often than not a brooch of rhinestones. One Christmas I was around 11 and I gathered up all the money I had saved and went to downtown Los Angeles with a friend on the streetcar. I went to Bullocks and found the fanciest rhinestone brooch I could afford it was ($3.00) a lot of money in the 1950's for a kid my age and bought it for her for Xmas. I still have that brooch!
